assignment_ind Lebo, A., Castro, E., Broucek, S. & Pipoly, E. “ Reinventing the Co-Curriculum: Honors Colloquia Series ”The Associate Dean of Honors and Scholars and Honors Program Director at Baldwin Wallace University will be joined by representatives from the Honors Leadership Board (HLB), our executive student leadership team, to discuss and share results of our Honors Colloquia Series. Even prior to Covid, Honors was looking for ways to reinvent our co-curricular programming to be more focused on student learning to clarify the specific value-add of Honors. As it happened, the Colloquia Series also helped us to transition to remote programming starting in fall 2020 but will certainly be retained as part of the new normal of Covid and beyond. The Honors Colloquia Series are 10 opportunities each semester to join a Zoom call or an in-person event focused on career pathways and other topics of interest to students. Most Zoom calls bring in two alums or other professionals to speak about a particular career area (i.e., finance, education, sports management, etc.). In-person events are both social and develop student skills in our program learning outcomes. The panel will report on our planning processes for the colloquia, will provide example schedules and attendance reports, and discuss the overall success and challenges of our reinvented student programming.
